Cazuri de infectie cu virusul West Nile confirmate în România

Un raport publicat de Institutul Național de Sănătate Publică arată că, în perioada dintre luna iunie și mijlocul lunii august, au fost confirmate în România șapte cazuri de infecție cu virusul West Nile. Aceste cazuri au afectat șase bărbați și o femeie.

Conform celor mai recente informații furnizate de Centrul Național de Supraveghere și Control al Bolilor Transmisibile din cadrul INSP, între 3 iunie și 14 august, au fost înregistrate în total șapte cazuri de infecție cu acest virus, dintre care șase au fost confirmate, iar unul considerat probabil.

Cazurile identificate se încadrează în următoarele grupe de vârstă: două persoane au între 40 și 49 de ani, alte două între 60 și 69 de ani, iar trei au între 70 și 79 de ani. Dintre persoanele afectate, cinci sunt din mediul urban și două din mediul rural.

Distribuția geografică a cazurilor confirmate este variată. În București au fost raportate două cazuri, iar câte un caz a fost înregistrat în județele Bistrița-Năsăud, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Mureș și Satu Mare. De asemenea, un caz a fost raportat de Direcția de Sănătate Publică Dâmbovița, având expunerea în Milano, Italia, cu debutul bolii în săptămâna 27.
