The most interesting match on tomorrow’s WWE Night of Champions card is the King of the Ring final between Jey Uso and Oba Femi. The winner of the match earns a world title match at SummerSlam. Now that Jey is running with Roman Reigns again, there’s a scenario where The Bloodline holds both men’s world titles soon if Jey can win the tournament and then defeat WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. Not surprisingly, there has been a lot of fan backlash online to Jey’s latest world title push in WWE. In a new interview that WWE posted today, Jackie Redmond told Jey that a lot of fans want to know why he decided to realign with Roman and The Bloodline after having so much success as a main event performer on his own. In responding to the question, Jey said he doesn’t care about the fans anymore after all the hate he received during his solo run. > ”I really don’t care about the fans no more. Because when I was doing my thing, they saw the hate. I can’t miss it. It’s all in my face. Social media, whatever it is, when my name pops up, I see it out there…most dislikes video on WWE’s social

media platform. Look it up uce, like five, six, ten videos out there. > It’s all good. If anything…that thing lit a fire under me. All the noise, all the opinions. Cool. It is what it is, ‘cause that’s part of the job.” Redmond pressed Jey further after he rejected the fans like that, because it’s pretty clear from his entrance alone that he is a beloved star to so many people. Jey said that’s true and admitted he’s confused, before partially taking back what he just said. > “I take it back. It’s 50/50, man. Like I said, I’m confused. Pulling me left and right. I yeet. I talk crap…my day ones know who they are. But there a lot of people who did doubt me. Still doubting me right now.” That sounds an awful lot like the way Sami Zayn talks about his ride or die fans. Jey went on to say he’s equal with Roman Reigns, and they are both better wrestlers than the likes of Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, and Oba Femi. Do you think this interview foreshadows a clearer heel turn for “Main Event” Jey Uso after Night of Champions? Let me know your reaction in the comments below, Cagesiders.
